YourpHLevel Newsletter: 💥🚀 Push Yourself, Unlock Your Inner Pharmacy

A philosophical and practical take on revamping your inner pharmacy to support your health and wellness in mid-age.

Be not afraid of discomfort. If you can't put yourself in a situation where you are uncomfortable, then you will never grow

Dear loyal subscriber! 🎉

I have an interesting concept for you this month. Recently I quit ducking the moves that scared me and caused me anxiety — handstands 🤸‍♂️, box jumps 📦. Endless excuses: not my thing, too risky, maybe next week. One morning, I ditched the overthinking and just went for it. I may have waited for the right moment, a smaller class, it was just the two of us and a coach that knew me and could encourage me. Arms shook, breath raced, legs stalled at the box — and then, boom: I did it - my first handstand - wall-assisted but nevertheless. And we kept going….

After? Not just accomplishment. I felt sharper⚡, lighter, almost rewired.

I´m here to tell you that wasn’t just adrenaline. That was your inner pharmacy — a built-in chemical lab that floods your brain, cells, and gut every time you stretch your limits. Molecular ripples. Upgraded biology. Comfort can’t touch or create this.

🧠 Brain Chemistry: Novelty Unleashes Your Inner Laboratory

Novelty isn’t just fun — it’s biological rocket fuel. When you combine newness with challenge, your brain flips into “growth mode,” unleashing a cascade of powerful molecules designed to transform you at every level.

Dopamine đŸ
Dopamine is your “seek out new experiences” neurotransmitter. When you try something unfamiliar or challenging — whether it’s a handstand, a big pitch, or an uncomfortable conversation — dopamine floods your system. It isn’t just the reward chemical; it primes you for action, spiking anticipation and energy. Repetition dulls dopamine, but novelty keeps it sharp. The more you experiment, the more you build the motivational engine for ongoing growth.

Norepinephrine đŸŽŻ
Novel challenges trigger norepinephrine — your in-the-zone molecule. It sharpens attention, speeds up reaction time, and blocks distraction. If you’ve ever noticed a sense of heightened clarity or “tunnel vision” during something new or risky, that’s norepinephrine cranking up. It’s the difference between going through the motions and feeling alive.

Endorphins & Serotonin đŸ§˜
Pushing into discomfort releases endorphins; these natural opioids help mask pain and bring on a subtle euphoria. Novelty ramps up endorphin bursts, while serotonin stabilizes mood, reduces anxiety, and provides a longer-lasting sense of balance. The combination buffers stress, leaving you with a smooth afterglow instead of a crash.

BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) đŸŒą
BDNF is the brain’s super-fertilizer, and it particularly responds to novelty. New experiences or skills light up BDNF release, triggering fresh neural connections and sculpting more adaptable, flexible brain networks. This is hardcore neuroplasticity — your brain’s ability to rewire itself, make rapid upgrades, and become more “anti-fragile.” In short, doing something new doesn’t just feel good; it makes you smarter and more resilient.

Trying a novel challenge isn’t just a mental boost — it’s a total chemical upgrade. That fresh clarity, lifted mood, and surge in energy after you push through discomfort? You’ve just dialed up your body’s natural growth cocktail.

🔋 Mitochondria: Upgrade Your Cellular Power Grid

On another note regarding the Mitochondria you have also given yourself a boost. Deep in your cells, challenge acts as a “renovation” signal. Each time you push your limits—whether it’s a sprint, a cold plunge, or a new movement—your mitochondria get the memo: level up required.

More ATP đŸ’Ş
ATP is the basic currency of energy—the only fuel your body can spend. Push yourself, and your mitochondria work overtime, cranking up ATP production to meet the new demand. It’s energy, on tap.

Mitochondrial Biogenesis đŸ”
Your cells aren’t satisfied with short bursts. Regular challenge triggers biogenesis: the actual birth of brand new mitochondria, trust me you want this if you want to live a long health life!. Think of this like expanding your battery pack so you can handle even bigger challenges next time. More mitochondria means greater endurance, mental clarity, and long-term vitality.

ROS Pulses ⚡
Here’s a twist: Each bout of effort generates bursts of ROS (reactive oxygen species). Normally, too much ROS is damaging, but small pulses from hard work signal your body to repair and reinforce. Mitochondria get stronger, antioxidant defense gets sharper. You’re building adaptation on a micro scale.

Every rep, every novel push is energy compounding—just like your 40K except in this case its “cellular 401(k)” for tomorrow’s performance and resilience.

🦠 Microbiome: Gut Adaptation in Real Time

Another place of impact - your gut isn’t just along for the ride—it’s actively shaping your health as you step outside your comfort zone.

Akkermansia muciniphila 🛡️
This powerhouse microbe shows up after stress or novelty, patching up the gut wall and revving up metabolism. It’s like having an elite bricklayer in your gut, rebuilding as you go.

Butyrate-Producing Species đŸĽ•
Challenge wakes up the butyrate-makers—microbes that spit out anti-inflammatory compounds, fortify gut cells, and even help control cravings. More butyrate means calmer guts and sharper brains.

Diversity Jumps đŸŒˆ
Novelty increases microbial diversity, building a dynamic, resilient inner ecosystem. A wider cast of characters means stronger immunity, better energy harvest, and a mental edge. So yes, every shaky handstand, every awkward new run, makes your gut smarter. Its interesting I used to think the only thing that can trigger your microbiome to change was your gut, I´ve have no learned that its sooooo much more than that. There are so many ways to boost diversity and this is one of them.

❤️ The Inner Checkup Effect Summarized

To summarize, every challenge is a mini health diagnostic—your body runs a scan and tunes up right on the spot. Its something that you can constantly weave into your life. Just think - what scares me, whats not in my routine, what can be fun to try? then force yourself to go there. The hardest step is the first one and then from there consistency is key

If you haven´t come across Alex Hormozi yet, here is someone who has built success from the group up - powered by relentless grit, resilience, and an uncompromising work ethic. His ability to push through discomfort and turn challenge to growth is seriously inspiring. Its no doubt that how he operates in life his inner pharmacy is super charged!!

I promised you some AI tech trends with every publication so here is our first one:

🌐 Tech Trend: AI as Your Health Dashboard

Here’s where biology meets the frontier: technology is finally catching up to your inner upgrades.

AI-powered wearables đŸ¤– are being engineered to track your “inner pharmacy.” Real-time data on metabolites, ATP output, mitochondrial function, and even BDNF spikes. Imagine a dashboard that doesn’t just tally steps or calories, but maps your growth chemistry in action.

One day soon, you’ll finish that 20-second cold plunge, glance at your wrist, and see: dopamine? ✅ Butyrate? ✅ BDNF? ✅ All leveraged and compounding.

That future is right around the corner—so why not start experimenting now? If you could see your biology lighting up after each novel challenge, what would you try next?

1️⃣ Pick one thing outside your comfort zone. 2️⃣ Do it once. Track your mood, energy, clarity. 3️⃣ Repeat, switch it up. Brain, mitochondria, microbiome thrive on variety.

Push 🏋️‍♂️. Adapt 🔄. Grow 🌱. Your inner pharmacy’s open for business.
